What Is Bougainvillea?

The colorful parts that look like petals are actually leaves called bracts. The true flowers are the small white parts in the center.

The Bougain Tower is one of Japan’s largest Bougainvillea towers, standing about 8 meters tall.

Ryuso is a traditional costume
dating back to Okinawa's Ryukyu Kingdom era.

The popular Yassy train is specially decorated with bougainvillea for a limited-time run.

Insects of the World Exhibit

This exhibit features approximately 20 types of living specimens with a focus on Japanese rhinoceros beetles (Kabutomushi) and stag beetles (Kuwagata). There are also approximately 300 preserved specimens on display, divided by habitat.
